The world’s financial markets are governed by strict trading rules, including stringent regulations about the timing of deals. In early 2018, both the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the European Securities Market Authority will have in place new regulation requiring that all machine-to-machine trading transactions be recorded with an accuracy of one millisecond.

This presentation, led by Gil Biran of Oscilloquartz (an ADVA Optical Networking company), will show how financial trading companies can use cost-effective solutions to meet the upcoming sync regulatory requirements. Gil will also discuss advanced timing methods that they can implement in their networks, such as Precision Time Protocol.
